@Ayo said in About the Snap feature: Wouldn't it be better to change "Snap to Visible Only" to "Snap to View Extend Only" or shorter "Snap to Viewport Only" or even shorter "Snap to View Only" ? There is a big chance of confusion with the term 'visible' which is mainly linked to the layer system. I added this to the backlog.

@VectorStyler thanks for the backlog add. And thanks for reminding me about randomization in Disturb Colors, I had overlooked it. @Subpath thanks for sharing these tricks and nice tutorials

@Boldline It should work, what are the cases when it cannot exit?

Well, I guess if you're overloaded with options and features, that would justify breaking that one tool into several, each of which doing a subset of the functions of the original one. If I classified the behavior I know of that that tool has, in order of most benign to most powerful, it would be: Node selection Translation of selected nodes Translation of segments bounded by selected nodes by selecting segment directly Conversion of straight segments to Bezier curves Deforming Bezier curves (unknown algorithm) The first two classes could be combined into one tool (I think this is Illustrator's white arrow funcitonality) The third should be a class in itself. Converting a data type is very different than selecting and translation. May not be invertible. The fourth is available in Illustrator's white arrow-sort of. In Illustrator's, the slope of the Bezier control points that are not on the curve remains constant. It simply extends or shrinks them. This is very important because you usually know the slope at the end point of a curve. Dragging the curve with that constraint is really valuable. I'm not sure what your algorithm is, but decoupling the terminal slopes from the curve translation allows you to (1) put down the curve with slopes where you know them and (2) optimally fit the curve with these boundary conditions to, say a curve in an image. That functionality could be put in the node selection tool if you divided off the datatype conversion to a separate tool.

@EricP said in Magic Wand selection based on size: is there a way to achieve this or could that be a feature enhancement ? Not possible for now, I added this to the features backlog.

@Subpath It seems our opinions are highly unified. His ability to use VS far surpasses most people. We need to keep up the good work.

@monsterfox I think the snapping is missing from this tool, I have to check that. Curving is normal once you move a point, but it can be disabled if you open the Shape Effects panel and open the Elastic Warp options.

@Usuario Some shape properties can be manually entered in the Shape panel. For example to set the circle and polygon radius to the same value. Also: alignment might not help in this case, but using Collision snapping could place the polygon to the right position (if its radius is the same as the circle).

@VectorStyler The following error is included in the file I provided. Selecting the red circle inside will result in the selection of the outer graphic.
