@Ayo said in About the Snap feature: Wouldn't it be better to change "Snap to Visible Only" to "Snap to View Extend Only" or shorter "Snap to Viewport Only" or even shorter "Snap to View Only" ? There is a big chance of confusion with the term 'visible' which is mainly linked to the layer system. I added this to the backlog.

@VectorStyler said in A node selection issue that slows node editing: The problem is that click+drag should be able to move nodes / segments. OK, but by 'click-and-drag' i meant 'box select'. That should not select and bend any segment of any other shape than the selected one. If it's doable…

@VectorStyler said in A few thoughts about Color panel: @Harry Would this mean that holding Control would pick in the spectrum along the same horizontal / vertical axis as the current color? Yes What about the hue spectrum (circle)? It could work as the ruler also - holding control gives perfectly opposite (complementary) color on the circle. But maybe others would have some suggestions?

@ash-f Added this to the backlog. This is probably doable, bit it is a larger task. AI file format was documented up 1998 for AI7 and AI-EPS.

@b77, @Harry, @VectorStyler Hi As a source for inspiration, for modulate Strokes, the painting program Black Ink came to mind. "Black Ink" uses a kind of controller nodes to modulate brushes to set and control random strokes and has a node system for layers. [image: 1670593437191-black-ink-1.png] Here are some videos Video about the Brush Controllers: Black Ink Brush Controllers Video about Black Inks Layer Nodes: Black Ink Layer Nodes Scattering a Brush may also be interesting her a Video about it Scattering a Brush with Controllers

@Raven said in "Zoom Tool Click Zooms Out" preference to also work with the temporary zoom tool: doesn't recognise the addition of the Option key for zooming out Yes, this is caused by deactivating the temporary zoom if other keys are pressed. I added this, will try to fix it ASAP.

@b77 yes that is true... and maybe that is the best solution. Part of me likes the ability to just open it and have it there as opposed to tearing it off and finding a place for it.

@Harry , @b77 can not resist to contribute to this Do you know Native Instruments "Reaktor"? A program that allows you to create your own software synth maybe VS will look something like this in the future ? [image: 1670439157079-reaktor-synth.png]

@Jayanta-Das said in Reconsider some value sliders: In Affinity Designer it is Alt+Ctrl+Left Click and drag. This is very usefull if I set this key press combination in Wacom pen button then I can simply click the button, hover over and move left and right to resize brush. Recording Problem with these Affinity multi-key shortcuts are that they are so easy to forget and incredibly annoying to hold down. Photoshop + Capture One Pro: right click, easy to use pop-up with options and preview of size (at least in CO), done. Impossible to forget, easy to use.

In Color panel there is a lag between opacity slider movement and object's opacity change. On the other hand, in Object/Object Options pop up, there is smooth opacity change - that's I like - but lag with slider circle.

@Ingolf said in Toggle shortcut for Greyscale display mode: I could easily live with a static one with a 'refresh' button. This is easily doable, as image histogram extraction and histogram view (separately) already exists.

@Boldline Something similar can already be done using object reference, or maybe a reference to a layer, and then transforming / mirroring the reference.

@Boldline Yes, this is doable, and already exists in a different form. Select multiple palette files in Finder and drag&drop over the VS window.
