  @vectoradmin ok I think that solved it. I did not fully understand what that "Control Handle Mode" choice would give me. I had it set to "all" and that explains why it grabbed even the invisible. Thank you for explaining.

  @vectoradmin I agree it does not need to be as advanced as the two dedicated programs mentioned earlier in the thread That said, if it's not too complicated to do a little more than the basics, I think that should be considered. checking out the two programs, there are some great control features I'm sure people would like. For example, being able to change the color of the text background and the mouse click indicator- even tying their color to the layer color is interesting.   @Boldline @vectoradmin what about some sort of "viewer" that shows the "delta" between the default settings and what the user has altered? This way you could get a short-list of any value you have changed from default.

I think it would also work in Blender. I disagree, I think filters are a perfectly viable way to handle this particular interface situation that you have an issue with. Yeah, but if you take a close look, filters are often introduced when the interface gets complex and it is best to avoid that scenario alltogther if at all possible.

  @vectoradmin If i think about it i like the Option where the Shape Tool would also work on Clones the most. Because this way i will have more possibilities then with just a Symmetry Option in Shape Builder.

  @vectoradmin hanks for the suggestion. I like the tool overall. That works ok but still leaves a think white line between the red and green in this case... it's not a bad thing for most purposes, but would be nice to have the option at some point for the totally clean cut. There are certain times that method is preferred. The cut out method still requires a fill shape, and cannot be a simply a stroke.

I know, but I never use and never used the proposed generic name in AD or Corel so it is a problem for me that I have to rename every viewpoint I create. When it pops up with a suggestion (like snapshots do already) it requires just hitting ENTER to accept it. Not a big deal and easy to figure out as a user. Renaming is a additional proces that is breaks creating a viewpoint into two actions - the second requiring a lot more. It is simply bad UI design.
