A suggestion about Copy and Paste.
-
Hello Friends,
When copying and pasting a shape, it pastes it at the coordinate where it was copied on the page. However, by default, it should paste to the centre of the screen. When we work by enlarging the page, we have to search for the copied shape on the page. A second command is required to paste to the coordinate where it was copied.
Yours sincerely,
Hakan Balcı

@hbalcic I think there will be an option for this. Some users requested to keep the position.

There's times I like both options. When I copy something and then pan across the artboard to a new area completely and then paste, I want it inside the view I am in at that new location... if I am working in an area and make a copy and paste in the same area, I want it pasted right on top of where it was copied... I'm not sure how to make the best of both worlds fit!

In AutoCad there is a command called "[Copy with Base Point]" (https://help.autodesk.com/view/FABRICATION/ENU/?guid=GUID-DB6BE9C3-66B9-4B58-B581-C0F8013AC79C)
It's very useful and it would be great to have it in VS

@hbalcic There is an option in settings for this: Paste Keeps Positions in Settings -> Importing.

Yes, this option centres the page. When I try to zoom in on a part of the page on the screen. It doesn't paste it centred on the visible part of the page.

I will reopen this issue.
