Cursor unsyncing/losing state when using tablet, especially with multiple Views

  • I'm having issues with reliable cursor activity when using a Wacom tablet. Strangely enough, it's being "picked up" by OBS when it is misbehaving. (as in, NOT showing up...)

I am running a program called Key N' Stroke that puts a highlight/halo around the mouse both showing movement and activity. I noticed when it misbehaves, exclusively in VS as far as I can tell, that the halo no longer follows the tablet cursor... it "stops" where I pick up the pen. I did turn it off and nothing changed with the cursor (in OBS or the pan..)

For example, in the screen recording, when I "activated" the other view to pan around (0:15) and then went back to the zoomed in view, the hand/pan cursor is now "stuck"... I'm actually able to "draw" with the pan cursor, but I cannot see any updates for the cursor in OBS unless I am using a mouse. Plus there is the green dot nearby for where the mouse cursor was left after the pen picked up the cursor.

So there's something funky going on between tablet and the pointer in VS. This happens occasionally.

*Also testing again with just the mouse and drawing with the Pencil Tool, the cursor is still stuck on Pan. Even though I'm drawing exclusively with the mouse and I did try to pan the other hand window to hopefully "register" the pan cursor in that instance.

I uploaded two videos. One is screen activity, the second is a cell phone to show the behavior in OBS...

Recording of OBS preview in conjunction with VS:

Hopefully that was clear, it is getting rather late here. Edit: Closing the other View seemed to fix it. Edit2: I suspect having extra Views exacerbates the issues...

@debraspicher I will try to replicate and fix this.
