Problems when I open pdf-files generated by VS i Adobe Illustrator and Print Studio


  • I (still) have problems when I open pdf-files generated by VS.

    It looks fine in Acrobat Pro but when opened in AI it appears as in this example. Also when I try to print to a Roland Versacamm plotter via PrintStudio software it looks messed up. I guess the problem is related.

    Can you see, what is wrong with the file?

    Its a Mac from 2015 on my work and I’ll send info in a separate mail.

    @Raaskot I will try to find out what is the problem here. The exported PDF file seems to be correct (per Acrobat, but also Preview), but AI CC clearly has a problem here also.

    One issue might be that AI CC does not support the full PDF standard for character encoding, in which case I have to try to find a supported encoding scheme.
