There seems to be a problem with shape replace
-
And, I can't find any options that to replace a shape with another shape and retain the previous size for each shape?
-
@Li-Xiao When replacing shapes, the size (or proportions) is not always kept. This depends on whether transformations were applied on the objects.
As for the shape picker case. This seems to create clipping groups (should not), I will try to replicate this.

@VectorStyler How I would do it:
If a 'Shape' role is assigned to an object, perhaps only its shape and not its size should be
used in the replacement (both from the Find/Replace window and from the Shape dropdown
in the context panel), so that the shape that is replaced adopts the shape but keeps the size
of the previous object. This would solve it, no? Unless I don't understand what a 'Shape' role is and does.
(@Li-Xiao I deleted my first comment because I misunderstood your question).

Would solve it partially. The problem is that the Size (and other parameters) are part of the shape. In some cases the size can be width and height (rectangle, ellipse) in others just a radius (polygon, star). But the size property could be copied over.

@VectorStyler OK… perhaps a 'Path Role' would do it — just the path itself without the size property?

@Li-Xiao Replace all seems to have a problem.

@VectorStyler Yes. Can it be fixed?

Opened a bug on this one, will try to fix it for the next build
