Incorrect xform origin for objects after application start
-
This can only be reproduced if you first quit VS and then restart it.
(The steps below are not necessary for a rectangle. Can be anything.)- Draw a rectangle.
- Now draw another rectangle that crosses the first.
- Use boolean Union to merge them.
- Select the new shape and keep clicking the "Flip Horizontally" button/icon at the top toolbar. It's a new shape, the center point is sort of blue-ish, so you'd assume it would flip around it's center point. But it doesn't.
- Open the Transform Palette. Notice the transform dots (whatever it's called with the 9 points, one in the middle, where you can select the xform point) indicating that the center point is the current xform point. Well, it's obviously not.
- Click on the middle point twice (once to deselect and again to select it).
- Now repeat the flip horizontally command on the toolbar. Now the unioned shape flips correctly from its center.
- After this exercise, you can merge/union any shape and they will flip correctly.
