NOT QUITE FIXED: Default document canvas size not honored until you specifically set the canvas size
-
In the 1.1.095 release notes one of the fixes was indicated as:
"Clip to canvas size and correct default canvas options."If this "fix" is referencing this bug report, then it's not fixed:
https://www.vectorstyler.com/forum/topic/3324/default-document-canvas-size-not-honored-until-you-specifically-set-the-canvas-size- Select File > New Document Setup
- In the General tab, set both Units and Ruler to "Pixels" in the dropdowns.
- In the Artboards tab set width and height to 200px.
- In the Cavas tab set the width and size to be the same as the artboard (200x200 px).
- Set Canvas Margin to 0 (zero). Make sure Large Canvas and Auto Canvas Size checkboxes are unchecked. Close the New Document dialog.
- Press CMD+1 to view the actual size of the artboard (View > Actual Size). Notice the vertical scrollbar. It's thumb is sitting in the middle. This indicates that something (possibly the canvas) is much larger than the document window, hence the vertical scrollbar is active.
- Select the canvas (Canvas 1) in the Canvas & Artboard panel and open its properties (aka the Canvas Options dialog).
- In the Canvas tab, notice "Default Size" is checked. Well, the default size should be 200 x 200 px since you just set it in the New Document Setup (step #1).
- So uncheck the Default Size checkbox and enter 200 for both Canvas Width and Height. For Canvas Margin enter 0. Close the dialog.
- Now look at the vertical scrollbar. Now it indicates that the canvas and artboard fits 100% inside the window, hence you cannot scroll vertically.
