Adding and Removing Color from Palette Takes Seconds

Open the Palette panel and delete the last color, as seen here:

I bet it will get worse as the file becomes more complex. Maybe it is related to the "Slow Typing Performance" problem I posted several months ago?

even just loading the File took 15 seconds here
