@Pat Was the copy (control+c) done after the last click was in the Layers panel (was focused)?
If so, only the name is copied.

@VectorStyler I'm not sure but I did select the object and copy it, & the word 'path' is following the object... it doesn't seem a copy-paste of this word. I don't see it in the layer panel & it is sticking to this object. I can send you the file.
