Have a curious extra stroke scaling

Have a curious extra stroke scaling
when I set "Transformed Stroke" in Layer/Object Options
-
@Subpath This is how the "Transformed Stroke" option works: if there are any "transformed" objects inside the layer / group, their stroke will adjust automatically.
Disabling the option, will restore the stroke widths to the non-transformed mode if for the objects that were transformed.
Stroke transformations are non-destructive in VS. The stroke may (or may not) use the object transformations to adjust the width (or calligraphy).
To work around this, convert the objects to curves to remove / flatten the transformations.

The width of the stroke is scaled, because I scaled the shape before once ?
although I understand this case eventually
-- I don't see yet any reason where I should need that

Yes, this is because of the non-destructive editing model in VS.
Once the "Transformed Stroke" is enabled, existing transforms are also considered.Maybe, it is recommended to enable it by default. That can be done in the Document Setup -> General view when creating new documents.

Thank you, i think its now a little bit clearer to me

I wonder if it might be worth having a command that applies the reverse transform to the stroke itself and toggles the option, so that the current size of the stroke is maintained and the option is applied from that point forward? That way both behaviors could be supported.
