Knife tool not always working when an object is not selected
-
Trying out the knife tool today with build 32, there are times it will not always slice through an un-selected fill object - but at other times it will. It will always work if the target shape is pre-selected.

@Boldline I've had a problem with the knife for a while. In the case of an ellipse, it usually only creates points on the edge. Knife is much better at rectangles, but there are cases when I want to cut with several lines and the last cut erases the previous.

@Boldline I tried the knife tool on an un-selected object and it seems to be working here. in some cases the result needs a "break apart".
If there is an example case that could help replicate this, please send it by email.

@vectoradmin This is what it looks like in my case. Have similar issues as @Boldline

@encart I tried again so I could send a file and video to @vectoradmin and it was less noticeable this time around... earlier in my video, some of the cut lines did not seem to register until after a small delay and at the very end, it was cutting one section but not another. it seems more random now as to when it will cut or not

@Boldline In my case, it behaves almost the same. It rarely works properly, never in an ellipse. Additionally, I noticed that Eraser tool is also infected. After one pass, the selection of the object disappears and the eraser stops working. It is necessary to select again.

@encart I will try to replicate this, here it works on ellipses.
