CPU crash


  • Hi everyone,

    I'm a little worried about this one. I recently crashed the whole computer while using VS. It happened 4 times. First I thought it was because my mac is old and not performant enough so it was OK. But tonight it happened with a very basic file (by "basic" I mean no special effects, just shapes with stroke and fill). It happened since the last version, never occurred before (I had mentioned some software crashes but not the whole system and it was apparently my graphic card).
    Since the system shut down I have no possibility to send log for those crashes. So I guess it cannot be useful to solve.

    But, I don't know , maybe it happened to someone else ? That's why I mention it.

    @Devil-Dinosaur The worst type of crash that could occur is when freezing while running on the GPU, this one is not managed (preempted) by MacOS. This may result in a simple logout, or a restart of the computer.

    Other type of crashes of VS cannot restart the computer since VS is just a regular user space program.

    Usually, when VS crashes, it saves a crash log that can be sent when the app is started next time. I did not get any crash log on the server regarding this.
