Color and palette panel removed

I have noticed that my color and palette panel is often missing. I see this pattern (whereever the panel is, top or buttom):
- Display them
- Exit
- Restart
- New document
- Close it
- Gone

@Ingolf I think what is happening here is that the layers panel gets resized and moves the color panel out of the screen.
I will try to find a solution for this.

@VectorStyler From macOS - I don't think the layers panel is involved when it happens?
Here the layers panel is floating a bit away.

@Ingolf I cannot replicate this one. I hid the spectrum, used docked panels and all.
Something to do with settings, but not clear what could cause this.

Don't see the folder "Numericpath" in "Application Support"

Oh sorry, in my home folder I found the path, I was looking from the root folder level. Happily forgot the meaning of ~/

This happens when the palette panel is active besides the color panel (in my case). When the palette panel is hidden then the color panel stays visible between VS sessions.
