Anomalies in guides behaviour
-
I have noticed strange behaviours when using the guides:
-
When Lock Guidelines command is selected, I am not able to drag new guides from the rulers.
-
Guides created from objects (using Make Guides command) cannot be locked with Lock Guidelines command.

This is by design, one the guidelines are locked, you cannot modify the set of guidelines, no adding, removing or changing.

Yes, these are objects and locked by the object lock option.

Contrary to them being objects, you are able to hide/show them by using the Show Guides command? Moreover you are able to select them in their hidden state...
The moment you convert an object to a guide, it's supposed to behave as such (hence the Make Guide command). It can only be declared an object when it has been released as a guide.
I am suggesting that we get rid of this ambiguity.

@VectorStyler you can modify this behaviour such that one is able to add guides even in their locked state. The moment they are placed onto the artwork they are automatically locked.
This is the standard behaviour in both Illustrator and Coreldraw.
Since I can already add guides even in a locked state using the Guidelines panel, I should also be able to add a guide by simply dragging them from the rulers...

I will make these changes.

@VectorStyler , I am glad to confirm that these issues have been resolved in VectorStyler builds 1.2.019.
Thank you so much.
