Gradient doesn't update when deleting a stop

  • Not sure if I'm doing something wrong but when I delete a stop from a gradient, the change doesn't update the object. As a matter of fact, even the gradient doesn't update.

    1. Create a path and assign a simple linear gradient to its stroke.
    2. In the Toolbar, open the Stroke color dropdown and in the panel's menu select "Edit Gradient"
    3. In the Gradient Style dialog that opens, at the bottom, delete a color stop (in the video I had 3 stops and I delete the middle one).
    4. The gradient correctly updates in the Gradient Style dialog, but when you close it, you end up with the original gradient, so nothing has changed. I don't quite understand why this is.

@pentool Can be replicated, will be fixed ASAP.

  • It seems this works differently depending on whether you are deleting the stop from the Context Toolbar or from the Gradient panel.

It doesn't work if you follow the steps above (in my first post). However, it does work if you do it this way...

    1. Open the Gradient Panel (Panels > Gradient)
    2. In the Panel's menu select "Edit Gradient"
    3. Delete the stop and close the dialog. Now it worked.

Video of the differences between the two ways of doing it (just to make it clear if needed)

@pentool I think the problem is with the fill popup
