Bounding box exclude stroke weight

The bounding box of an object does not take into account the stroke weight. Consequently, if you use the bounding box of selected objects as crop area when exporting, the stroke thickness will be cut away if it extends beyond the bounding box.
In Adobe Illustrator the bounding box includes stroke weight.

@Clausj What was the file format when exporting?
For image file formats there is an Expanded Frame option that should be on by default and will include the stroke weight also.
