Unable to open svg on Mac desktop

I currently have svgs set to open with Affinty Designer by default. When I right-click an svg on the desktop, hover over "open with", Vectorstyler is not in the list of possible apps. Scrolling down to "other" (to open the Applications folder window), I can see Vectorstyler in the Applications folder, but the icon is grayed out.
