Font size randomly goes to 0.0

    I don't know if this is a bug or a means of functionality that I'm not used to with your application. However, it "seems" like the font Size isn't working as expected, as I'll set the size, and suddenly it'll drop to 0.0 when I move the mouse. I won't have the size slider control open, so I know that it's the problem. However, the size seems to be behaving as if it were still open at times.

    Also, how do I set the font size units to pixles?

  • @buckycore If a restart of the app doesn't fix the issue, is somehow focus locked to that input field?

    Also: is it happening on Mac or Windows?

    You can change the font size unit from the default PostScript points to mm or px in the Preferences > Number editors > Font Size Units.

    @b77 Oh my apologies for not posting this info before: I'm on a Mac. macOS Big Sur 11.4 Mac Mini with an M1 chip.

    AND thank you for showing me how to change the font unit. I've been using Affinity products for so long, and they do the unit changes differently than how Adobe products. And I see this is more similar to Adobe in certain functionality.

    @buckycore When swiping on the mouse or touch pad, over a number editor field, the value may be scrolled. This might happen inadvertently with a laptop touch pad, and may scroll the font size down to 0.

    @vectoradmin I'm using the standard blue tooth mouse in this instance, so based on what you're saying hovering in any context might be the cause even with a mouse. I'll check again in a while to replicate the problem and pay close attention to what my hand is doing. I also have an XP-Pen screen tablet (similar to a Wacom Cintiq) and see what happens as well
