The font list scrolls to the currently selected font only for installed fonts.
-
A problem that has occurred in the past. Mentioned e.g. here
-
@encart Are these other fonts installed with a 3rd party font manager or with the VS font manager?
-
@VectorStyler
Other fonts are placed in folders on my drive and added in VS font manager
-
@encart I tested this, and the current font will only be highlighted in the list if that list is active.
The active list is selected in the top-right corner.
But VS will not change the active list when a different font is selected.
So of the font is not in the active list, it is not highlighted.
-
I'm not sure if I have described that correctly, but found something.
Two first fonts are placed in Script folder and next two from Capitals. Each folder contains different fonts.
Understandably, they cannot appear in the list if they are not in the correct category. But by going back to the Script folder and selecting the font that belongs to it, the list stops at the beginning.

@encart I think this might be because the font from the selected object cannot be found in the list.
But if that is the case, what should be highlighted? would highlighting the last selected work?
-
@VectorStyler
Yes, but look what happened in the second half of recording. I highlighted text object created from one of the fonts
from Capitals folder and after I changed the font library from Script to Capitals VectorStyler found it immidiately and highlighted. But it doesn't work when I do opposite.

I will try to replicate this.
