I tried updating recently to the latest version and received an error, something about needing to delete "user profile data" -- not sure exactly as it no longer appears.
I uninstalled VectorStyler and tried re-installing. I downloaded the trial version from the website because I purchased it several years back.
It automatically added a license I guess. I tried detaching the license to put my own and it wouldn't allow me to detach it because "could not connect to license server, or license is invalid".
Anyway, the other bugs I'm seeing are now I try to pick a new, installed font (recognized by other software) and VS doesn't pull it up when I type it in or look for it in the list.
Also the Select Font dropdown goes full screen when I try to pick a font. I have to manually reduce the size and then click behind it on the background windows to get it to disappear.

This happens when there is some residue of old resources left, we have some problem with the MSI installer.
Removing the user folder (is this windows or mac?) might help.It automatically added a license I guess. I tried detaching the license to put my own and it wouldn't allow me to detach it because "could not connect to license server, or license is invalid".
I checked the license server, and it seems that the registration is fine. The old license should work, but if not, let me know.

Was VS restarted after installing the font? It is not necessary, just want to understand the setting. Also: are there many fonts on the system? it might take some time to rescan the fonts.
Also the Select Font dropdown goes full screen when I try to pick a font.
This looks like a bug, I will try to replicate it. But finding the user folder where the settings and workspace files are and removing them might help.

@VectorStyler Thanks. It's Windows. Yes, I restarted VS after the font install. I have a good amount of fonts, but I've left it open for over an hour. Still doesn't appear even after another restart.
I'm looking for the folder you mentioned. I'm not sure where? Is it under Program Files > NumericPath? I see in there folders "vector" and "zeta". In vector there is a data folder which has "presets", "resources" and "themes" and a config. In "zeta" there is "data" "zcf" and "ztk" In that data folder there are several folders "color", "compute", locale, postcript, resources and strings.

@VectorStyler Also now when I restart it has removed the license. But I try to add my license and it says "License Verification Failed! Could not connect to the license server. License verification requires network connection."
I'm definitely connected.
-
@MikeI Sometimes it says that and it will still have accepted the License on restart. It's weird.

@MikeI The user settings and workspace folder on Windows typically is in:
C:\Users<user_name>\AppData\Roaming\NumericPath\VectorStyler1.0\vector\data\resources\
or
C:\Users<user_name>\AppData\Local\NumericPath\VectorStyler1.0\vector\data\resources\
(depends on the install type).
Do not modify the files in the Program File -> Numeric Path folder. Actually, if you still have diagnostic messages, these should uninstalled and if something is left, manually removed. And the VS can be reinstalled.
About the font:
What is the font name, and where can I find it. I would like to test it here also. Are you using a font manager (other than the one in Windows)?
One way to test if VS supports the font is to create a text in VS, and then drag&drop the font file on that text (yes, VS can use fonts that are not installed).About the license check, lets sort this out by email.

Check your mailbox, you should have a new license. Try with this one.

@VectorStyler Thanks. It runs and I updated to 1.2.060. Though it still opens up the crash report screen every time I close and open the app normally.
The full screen font selector issue continues. Strangely, it doesn't happen when I select the Text Tool and change from the default to any font. But when I click it again to change the font once more, the font selection goes full screen.
I've deleted the Resources files from the User area.
The new font still doesn't appear though. It's called "Freehouse" from Adobe Fonts. After looking, none of the Adobe Fonts I've installed and then activated to be available locally in other apps show up in VectorStyler. Maybe a setting to adjust? They appear in other programs, e.g. Affinity.
I would drag the font over like you suggested, but Adobe changes font names to some sort of ID number system in the appdata/roaming folder, so I don't know which one it is.
Thanks.

Maybe it cannot remove the previous crash reports from the c:\ProgramData\NumericPath\ folder

A recording might help to understand what happens here. Was the font list accessed from the context panel (top row).

I opened a bug on this. It might be the way VS accesses fonts is not compatible with Adobe Fonts.

Yes, this might be the reason why VS cannot find these fonts. This might be a major bug, I will try to fix it.
BTW: if you know where this folder is, open the VS font manager (Type -> Font Manager) and add that folder with "Add Folder". This will create a new font category that can be selected in the upper-right corner of the font list view.

Ok. I found and deleted an old crash report. That handled it popping up each time.
It happens whether I select the font from the top row or the Character window. I tried including an .mp4 video showing it but it doesn't allow the type. It doesn't list any video types that are allowed.
I tried adding all Adobe folders but it still didn't load those fonts. I tried Rescan Fonts also.

If you want to include video files, one way to do it is to host it online and then include the link to the file on the forum

@MikeI I opened a bug on the Adobe Fonts issue, and will try to fix it for the next build

@VectorStyler Ok cool.
Here's the video showing how the font selection jumps to full screen:
