Using Adobe PDF (and Microsoft Print to PDF) as a virtual printer
-
VectorStyler (1.2.044) Windows version lists virtual printers like Adobe PDF, Microsoft Print to PDF and PDF/X-Change Standard in the list of printers, but when Adobe PDF is used, printing hatts somewhere in the middle and the PDF file is never created. When using Microsoft Print to PDF, only the .ps file is used but it will not be distilled (it should not be dependent on Adobe Distiller because other apps can produce PDF when using Microsoft Print to PDF, disregarding wiether Adobe Distiller is installed or not;). PDF/X-Change works without issues.
Another issue with Adobe PDF virtual printer is that it seems that it is not available in macOS version of VectorStyler. It is not listed amongst available printers, nor is there the standard PDF button that is normally available in macOS print dialogs so that a file could be "saved" as Adobe PDF. It is not a big issue because on macOS you can choose PDF or PostScript as a printer and then produce PDFs this way, but as there is a problem with Adobe PDF on Windows, I just wonder if there is some compatibility issue that could be resolved so that it could be used also with VectorStyler.

This might be available only on Windows (depending on the drivers provided by Windows).
I will open a bug on the printing issues on Windows. The common PDF virtual printing mode of VS should be named "PDF File", this is available on both Windows and MacOS
