A few issues with the colors/color styles/presets
-
There are a few problems (I think) with the colors (eg color style and color preset and the color panel itself). To me it seems like bugs, at least some of them, but I could be mistaken.
This first video shows that I have already created two color PRESETS. Not color STYLES. Color PRESETS.
You can see these two colors when I open the panel menu and select "Color Presets". It shows the two colors I created "My Red" and "My Green Color Preset".
These colors are visible in the Color Palette when you select "Show Color Styles" in the palette menu. But these are not color STYLES. These are color PRESETS. So why are these colors are showing as styles when I select "Show Color Styles"?

Let's create a color from scratch. Create a new purple color and save it as a color PRESET. Even though you saved it as a color PRESET it will show up in the color STYLES list.

Second issue. Change the color slider to a different color, eg yellow. Now select one of the colors in the Color Styles list. When I select "Edit Color" in the panel menu, the selected color should come up as being edited and not the color the slider is set to. Eg, I selected the green color from the color list, yet, the yellow color (which is set by the slider) is being edited. I think the problem here is that when you select a color from the styles list, the slider is not getting updated.

Third issue. How do I delete these color presets? I don't find any way to delete them. They are not showing up neither under Styles nor under Presets. They only show up in the Color Panel when you select "Color Styles" (even though they are Color Presets) but they are not showing up anywhere else, so you can't delete them. Or at least I don't find a way to do so.

And finally, my understanding is that the difference between "styles" and "presets" is that when you modify a "style" all objects that have that particular style applied will reflect the change. So these colors (red, green, purple) are showing up in the color style row in the Color Panel (when you select "Show Color Styles" from the panel menu). However, it is clear that these are not STYLES because when you assign the same color to different objects and you edit the color, the change is only reflected in the selected object as opposed to all objects that uses that color (as in the case with color styles).

Forgot one more question. Why are the saved "Color Presets" are not showing up anywhere in the Presets Panel?
There are Gradient Presets, Gradient Color Presets, etc. You can save "Color Presets" (as I have demonstrated in one of the above videos) but there's no "Color Presets" to be found where I can see the list of my saved colors.

I think this aspect needs a rework as it is very confusing to know what goes where and how everything ideally things are saved and recalled. I always assumed features were implemented as needed and would get a rethink as time went on depending on overall usability and feedback.
