There is a problem with some text resources in the new beta build. An update will be uploaded today.

Snapping in Pen tool when holding the Space key.

Would someone be willing to elaborate on this feature? For me, the space bar key activates the hand/pan tool whether I press it before or after pressing and using the pen tool.

When moving a control point, holding the spacebar will move the node with the control point. The new thing here is that this node will also snap to guides.
