Objects rotate instead of merging - boolean
-
Can someone help me understand what I am missing? I am trying to merge down into one shape, all three of the black parts and let the green part cut a shape in the black (the equivalent of the merge tool in illustrator) . I can't figure out why the shapes keep rotating when I select them and use different boolean operations

as I was trying to group and expand and different things - the graphic got all wonky. I was able to get it back close to what i needed and copied it and pasted it into illustrator - then expanded it and then used the merge boolean to make it one shape, then removed the interior green after using it to cut a hole in the black - then merged the black pieces. video here - this is what I need to be able to do easily in VS. I admit it very well could be user error on my part

@Boldline Seems to be a bug. Try using Convert to Curves on those shapes first. Send me the vstyler file by email.

I sent the file. Everything seemed to go wonky on that file - most likely user error on my part. I played around with some of the same things again this morning and not having the same troubles.

@Boldline I got the file. When I try to merge those 3 objects (top 2 path and the group) the objects stay in place. Seems that something is different in this file and the video. I will look into this more.
