I noticed an error in interpreting Illustrator-created native layer structure.

In the attached file, when the option to read AI data from a PDF is checked, the native AI layer structure the "Reddish" sub layer under Ellipses is duplicated with its content with the name "Reddish_2_", but is otherwise correctly read in -- which is great since no other sofware I know can (or even try to) do that (they all basically flatten the layer hierarchy and do not maintain group structures under layers).

@Arde In Preferences enable Document Files -> Import AI data from PDF.

this option is disabled by default for PDF files so that the actual PDF content is imported.

and by default, AI content is only imported from files with AI extensions.

        same happens with EPS.
