Dragging blend into mask shape causes blend to disappear, breaks undo
-
Steps to reproduce:
- Create a blend
- Create a shape
- In the layers palette, drag the blend over the shape to create a mask
Expected: Blend becomes masked by masking shape
Observed: Blend disappears; blend does not reappear after undo; undo causes unpredictable behavior for other objects on the page
-
@statestreet Can confirm here.
However, if you select the start and end object along with the blended object, dragging it inside another object should work. See quick video here: https://recordit.co/e6leZY5Mix
@vectoradmin If you drag only the start or end object over the object you want to use as a mask, the app will crash.
-
I added this to the backlog as a bug.

@vectoradmin and @statestreet
If a blended object would be displayed as a single object in the Layers panel (of course, with an 'expand button', like group objects are), dragging it inside another object would be easier to do.
-
@b77 Fix for this will be in the next build.
We cannot make the blend as a group, the two ends should be selectable and editable indenpendently.

Both the crash and the broken blend are fixed in build v1.0.013 RC1
