Eraser tool deletes entire shape when deleting small section formerly attached
-
If I erase a section of a vector fill and temporarily leave a now unattached section as I delete in steps, erasing that new "island" section erases the entire shape. Here is a video of this in action. I have a design I am tracing over with lowered opacity vector shapes. as I delete a section, it causes the rest of the once joined shape to also be deleted.
This is not new to build 62 that just came out - it's been going on for a while - just for context. I've noticed some strange properties with a vector fill shape when using the eraser tool to remove a section of it. It does not occur all the time, but happens quite often and can be replicated pretty easily.

@Boldline I tried to replicate this, but I think it depends on the specific order of shapes. Can you send me an example where erasing a small part causes deletion?

@VectorStyler I'll email you the file I referenced in the video
UPDATE: file sent

@Boldline The issue can be replicated here. I will try to fix it for the next build.

@VectorStyler Awesome news!!! That issue was a thorn in my side for a while - so glad it was able to be replicated and solved. thank you!

@Boldline One thing that might affect this is whether the erased shape is selected or not., and what is selected in the context panel as a Source.

@VectorStyler ok I will check what the settings were on that machine. It happened here on my main computer just now and the source is set to "selection"
