Allow text on path dragging in the transform tool - does this make the "text on a path" tool obselete?
-
From the new .53 build - "Allow text on path dragging in the transform tool."
This update to allow the transform tool to adjust the text location on a path makes sense to me. My initial exploration of the text on a path settings (a long time ago) had me wondering at first, how to move the text and i assumed then that it was the transform or node editing tool - but then I learned of the "text on a path" tool.
Having the transform tool accomplish the same task as the "text on a path" tool seems to make the latter redundant at this point.
Unless @VectorStyler has another purpose in mind for it. Even a few weeks ago, I was wondering if this task actually required its own dedicated tool or could it be tied in with another - like the transform tool.Thinking forward, are there other text on a path functions that could eventually be added to the "text on a path" tool to give it further legitimacy?

@Boldline Yes, I think the tool icon can be removed (the tool exists, but it is auto-activated with the transform tool).

@VectorStyler This works really great - bending text around curves is now a total breeze and will come in super handy
