Vectornator (AutoTrace) - They aren't any better
Didn't post your example because none of the settings I tried worked.
What settings should I use to get the best possible result?
And, why is it so hard?

@fewerjunk Tested the image. Looks like there are some issues in creating smooth curves in this case. I added this to the backlog as a bug.
Is there a larger resolution image for this example?

@fewerjunk The best I can get is with "Black and White" mode, and Tolerance 0.4 (all others are default).
Another option is to use "Extract Stroke", but the joining points are not yet handled well.
