Snapping not working with CTRL key?
-
Hello,
- With the grid turned on and snap to grid enabled:
- Enable the Rectangle Shape Tool, draw a rectangle shape with click-drag. Snap to the grid behaves as expected.
- Click-drag, to create another rectangle, only this time, hold down CTRL to have the rectangle radiate from the click point. The shape will not snap to the grid and behaves as if snapping is turned off.
- This unexpected behaviour also happens when the CTRL + SHIFT are held down (SHIFT constrains the shape to a 1:1 aspect ratio when dragging).
The expected behaviour is that holding down CTRL after starting to drag a shape will not only cause the shape to radiate from the click point, but also honour the snapping condition.
Please let me know if this behaviour intentional.
Thanks!

@Victor-Vector The Control key (Command on Mac) disables snapping while drawing or editing. This is by design.
This can be configured out by setting the Preferences -> Modifier Keys for "Skip Snapping while Drawing" and "Skip Snapping while Changing" to None
