Unable to use keyboard command to delete objects

Version: Version 1.0 Beta 28
OS: macOS 10.14.5
Computer: Macbook Pro, 15-inch, Mid 2018

Bug description: Can only delete objects via the edit menu, not using the delete button on my keyboard

To replicate:

• Draw an object with any tool (Shape, brush, pencil, text, etc).
• Select it
• Press delete

Result: Nothing happens.
