Cannot align overflow text to tab

Creating and getting tabs within a text frame to work seems a bit flaky. The main issue, that seems to be a bug, is that I cannot align an overflow line to the tab I've just set. Placing the cursor in front of the overflow and hitting the tab key, as one would in Illustrator, has no effect whatsoever. The line does not move.

The tab stop bug has been fixed in the new build 200. When inserting a tab as the first character of the line, make sure that the tab does not fit at the previous line end. This requirement is similar to other app. The Interval field in the Paragraph Options -> Tabstops view can be used to increase the default tabstop extent.
