Deleting text automatically moves text cursor to the far left side
-
I don't know if this ties in with @encart's recent text issue, but when I delete text, now the text input cursor automatically goes all the way to the far left side of the remaining text instead of staying where it usually did before...
I could not get it to show on the video, but sometimes when I remove text and the cursor goes to the left side, the first letter in the remaining text gets highlighted and clicking on an arrow key to the left did not move the cursor or eliminate the highlight, but clicking the other arrow key direction did

@Boldline Tried to replicate this with a similar text, but it seems to be working.

Hmmm ok, I'll try restarting VS.
UPDATE: Same issue occurs even after restarting VS
I don't remember it happening in Build 2 but I also don't remember if I was cutting text when I was using it....
I just tested it on the Intel machine and had the same problem - the cursor jumps to the far left side when you cut text
I'm using the build 3 you posted a few hours ago.
Was the immediate fix today just for windows users? Were Mac users supposed to also update?
-
@Boldline I will try to figure out what could cause this.
-
I can replicate it on Windows 10. Cursor moves to the far left when I'm using CTRL+X shortcut .

@encart Yes, this can be replicated.

@vectoradmin Just asking so I understand - When you were trying to replicate it on the Mac initially and could not repeat it on your end, were you using the command-x? or were you using the cut option from the edit menu?
-
@Boldline I was using only Delete.
The reason that this happens with Command-X is mostly a side effect of switching between editing modes when the Command is pressed.

@vectoradmin oh! ok. I will try to specify in the future if I am using keyboard shortcuts to help narrow in on the issue sooner. thanks for explaining

@Boldline This problem should be fixed in the latest build.
