"Paragraphic" from Lost Minds Software is avaible now
-
@Subpath I've been beta testing it for a few months and really like it a lot. There's a lot of overlap with Repeater in VS but there are different tools to create the results between the two. Can't have too many fun vector tools!
-
@Subpath Interesting - thanks for posting, looks like heaps of fun to play with, I just purchased it.
-
@Boldline
Yes, I have also seen overlaps with the Repeater in VS.@syllie
i think its a no brainer for just € 23.-
.
.
One feature I already love in "Paragraphic" are the comment fields
in which you can write down steps or ideas. I often miss
something like that in other programs.
.
.
I also like that it has a few vector graphic tools and
not just nodes and of course the easy transfer via
the clipboard.
.
.
Since I have been more involved with Nodebox, I love
the possibility of creating vector graphics using nodes.Parametric looks to me, in terms of features, like a
little brother of Nodebox but seems easier to use
than Nodebox. And “Cavalry” as a really big brother of it features wise,
but is more parametric.
.
.
I find “Rhino 3D” with its built-in “Grasshopper” plugin offers
the greatest range of features so far when it comes to creating
vector graphics using nodes. You may wonder, because Rhino
is known as a 3D Nurbs Modeller. But Rhino are able to import and export SVG vector graphics
since version 8. Which make graphics tranfer between Rhino and
vector graphic programs easy. Its also easy to do only 2D
vector graphics with grasshopper in it.Of course Grasshopper enables also creation of vector graphics in 3D
and I'm not just talking about text or 3D modeling. But also vector
graphics pattern creation in 3D. There are also many free and
paid plugins that expand the functionality of "Grasshopper"
much further .Btw VectorStyler is a very good companion to all of the programs
i mentioned here.

Paragraphic is not actually "released" yet - it is in "early access", meaning it is not finished.
It may gain additional capabilities by the time it is released.
-
Yes, you right. But i did not wrote "Final" Release
i change the Titel in "avaible now".I also expect that a few more tools and
features will be added

The functions of this software are infinitely close to those of Repeater. I think Repeater should have an operation like this: 1. In the editing state of Repeater, the transformation attributes of samples should be independently controllable, including operations such as (moving, skewing, rotating, etc.). 2. A small editing group should have control handles to adjust the left - right and up - down spacing. (When I work, I mostly have a reference picture and copy it. It is very inconvenient for the current Repeater in Vs to perform such operations. Every time I adjust a parameter, I need to move the reference picture to compare with mine.) I hope these operation methods can be added.

Paragraphic seems to be moving along at a pretty good
pace in terms of updates. Version 0.9.0 came out today.I purchased version 0.8.6 when I posted this thread, in the
meantime there were 4 updates, so things are moving
along quit well.

"Seamless Pattern" Feature in Paragraphic
As I have already mentioned, "Paragraphic" has a good pace
when it comes to updating and adding new features. One of the features in a recent update was the
"Seamless Repeating" feature. Since this topic just came
up again in a VectorStyler thread I thought I would mention
it here.Copying via the clipboard works from Paragraphic to VectorStyler.
Unfortunately not the other way around. This data exchange only
works via SVG export and import. The stupid thing about it is that SVGs with multiple objects are
treated as grouped/connected objects in Paragraphic.
This means that individual objects cannot be moved independently.
At least I haven't found a way. Maybe that will change at some point?@syllie
This may interest you as you own a copy.Anyway, here is a video about the "Seamless Repeating" feature in Paragraphic

I already did some time ago! And I played with the update Saturday. Thank you for calling attention to this though it is a cool program. But nowhere what I am after, just another tool (like Amaziograph) to experiment with (at the moment).
-
No problem, I only mentioned it because we were talking about seamless pattern possibilities in VectorStyler.
Btw, I know Amaziograph have a copy on my iPad, also
iOrnament which is also a nice tool.
