New Document Default File Name
-
When selecting New Document Setup, I add a Name to the field. I would expect that name should be the file name default when choosing Save or Save As...
Similarly, after saving the file as something like "myfile.vstyler", the default naming for any File > Export would offer to use the user's saved filename plus the export extension, e.g. "myfile.pdf"

added this as a bug

@vectoradmin in v154, this still seems to be an issue. Perhaps there's a way to reset my prefs?
I'm on macOS 10.15.6

It could be the previous settings (the ~/Library/Application Support/NumericPath/VectorStyler1.0/vector/data/resources/settings.xml file contains the settings, removing will restore the original settings).
How does it manifest?
Setting a name in Document Setup should set now use it for the document also.

@vectoradmin Setting the name for a newly created document correctly adds the name to the save / save as dialogs.
Once the document has been saved as .vstyler, the Export dialogs (PDF, SVG etc) all offer only "untitled.pdf", "untitled.svg" etc.
As usual, I've inadvertently combined 2 bugs into a single report - document save naming and document export naming.
I did let the app reset the settings in App Support dir.

Will look into the export naming more.

v154 - the new document naming is still not working correctly. I haven't been able to see a consistent issue of how this occurs, but it appears to have something to do with currently or recently opened files somehow "hijacking" the newly created document name.

Yes, I think I did see this already.
Seems that the last document options will also keep the name (should not).
Added to the bug list.

The document name issue has been fixed in build 155
