Pen tool not registering node clicks until 10-15 clicks in

In the newest release (48) I'm consistently having issues with getting the pen tool to start a path. I have the black selected in the color panel for the path and yet the first 10-15 clicks do not register anything permanent. Eventually it starts to register the nodes where I click and show the path line in black like normal. I tested this several times - closing out documents and making new ones, then closing out VS completely and reopening with a fresh document - same result.

@Boldline Confirmed here — it works only if you click-and-drag to create curved segments.

@Boldline Can be replicated! It is a regression in the new build. Will be fixed.
