How can I delete an anchor point from a path while preserving the curve?
-
Guess this has been addressed before but couldn't find it in the search. How to remove specific nodes while keeping the curvature intact? Illustrator has Shift + select option, not perfect but works in most cases.
-
@Kumr Select the node and press the Delete key. In VS the default node deletion will keep the path connected and preserve the curve as much as possible.

@VectorStyler Thanks. The paths are drifting a bit in most cases. Any setting I have enable to make it best of it? Also Node removal tool not working. I click on the node, but nothing happening.
Thanks

This depends on the path, some adjustment is made. Send me an example.

No options for this.
Also Node removal tool not working. I click on the node, but nothing happening.
With this tool you have to paint over nodes.

Node removal was working in previous versions, but not in current updated VS. I completely reset VS and it's the same.
Deleting the node is drifting or adjusting the path. Even in a simple curve. If I add a node to already existing curve and delete the same should ideally keep the same curve?
Update: Path simplifier tool also not working. Havent tested any other tools.
