Is Hyphenation working?
-
Hi. Im trying to make hyphenation working. I started with spanish, but no luck. I read in the forum that it was not working for other languages at some time, so im trying to make it work with English US. But i cant make it to work. I selected the English language. An then i went to the paragraph hyphenation settings. Im not sure what settings i must change from the defaults to makes something. I changed before, after, lenght, but no change.
Could you gave me some default good values for Hyphenation paragraph settings?

@marce Is this on Windows or MacOS?
-
@VectorStyler Hi, is windows. Any other detail?
-
@marce I opened a bug on this and will test it on Windows.
-
@marce I the Character Options -> Typography section, what language is selected in the "Hyphenation" field?
-
@marce It seems that the default install does not include hyphenation dictionaries for other than English. I will find a solution for this ASAP.

Hi VectorStyler, sorry i dont know your real name. Here is what i got: Following your tip about Typography section, i change Default to English, and Hyphenation start to work. So, English is OK.
But when i selected Spanish in Text>Hyphenations>Language, and then i go to Text>Character Options>Typography>Hyphenation you dont have any other language than "default" and "English". You can see this in the screenshot:

I remember when working with the old Pageplus to have a similar problem. They got the non-english hyphenation dictionaries from Libre Office, and it solved the problem. The libreoffice hyphenation dics are standard.
The files used for hyphenation in libreoffice are called hyph_es.dic, and if i correctly remember, are free for anyone to use, and available somewhere.

@marce The next build will contain these dictionaries (next week)

@VectorStyler Thanks, great! I see good potential in Vectorstyler layout capabilities. Maybe is not intended to that, or focused to that, but great to have them working properly.
