Creating objects using snaping and merging them with Shape builder tool. Inaccuracies.

Could you help me please.
When creating such meshes using snaping options, I have problems with joining them together. As you can see in one of the videos, this is due to some inaccuracies in the positioning of the elements. The cursor highlights the vertex, but the new rectangle is not created in the correct position. Sometimes opposite - despite the correct arrangement, Shape builder does not allow me to connect the objects together. I have tried changing the tolerance levels but it still works quite randomly. Do you have any tips that would be helpful.

Are you careful to release the mouse right after the second point is highlighted with a red circle and you click?
At this point release the button and just drag the mouse (or the finger on the trackpad) to create the rectangle. This way the second corner should be exactly over the corner of the other shape.

@encart Try using Snap To Points when drawing, this will align the points of the rectangles to the triangle corners.
Also: shape builder has this known issue of not always handling well sides that are exactly touching. A little bit of overlap helps there,
