After nearly 3 decades, FreeHand manages to have the market's most advanced Find & Replace function imaginable. You can find and replace literally anything with just a few clicks in FreeHand. See the amount of things you can select. More importantly, the window is non-modal. It remains on screen while you make selections and replace them.

Equally amazing is Xara's names Gallery, which extends this even further, by allowing you to choosing multiple kinds of things at the same time. You can choose any used font, any used style, any used colour, any used bitmap, any used file, with a mere click, simultaneously. When you're working with complex multipage documents, I can't begin to tell you how much difference this makes. Unfortunately, Xara does not allow global selections. Only selections in the current page, which slightly limits the usefulness.

That's why I'm requesting we try and duplicate FreeHand F&R for VS.

@Daniel I will add this to the backlog of features. Not sure if it can make it to 1.3

No rush. Take your time. I'd rather you implement it correctly than rush out something that is broken and buggy. We already have affinity for that.

By the way, this has been a pending request to Affinity since, wait for it, 2015. That's ten years. Hopefully you don't need a decade.
