Accidentally changing a value in an input field
-
The value in numeric input fields can be changed
by highlighting the value, holding down the left
mouse button and moving the mouse.Unfortunately, this often leads me to accidentally
change a value.Affinity's approach is to click on the left outer side of
the number field and then move the mouse while holding down
the left mouse button. It is not even necessary to select
the value first.
.
.
Two additional minor things:
I also miss an indicator that a value can be changed this way.
But this is not that important. At some point you know that
this is possible.Furthermore, it would be nice if you could change the value
only moving horizontally "left/right". But I think this may not
easy since we don't move a mouse exactly horizontally, or vertically.I'm adding a video here that shows the Affinity approach in the first part.

@Subpath I added this to the backlog

@VectorStyler , thank you

@Subpath Currently, the value scrolling only starts when the mouse is dragged outside of the number frame.
Is this the case for you also?
A small recording would help to identify which number field is having issues.

...Currently, the value scrolling only starts when the mouse is dragged
outside of the number frame. Is this the case for you also? ...yes that's how it is,
if I just click in the number field the number is selectedbut I have the old habit of selecting the numbers by pressing
the left button and dragging over the numbers to select them
and then this unintentional scrolling of the values happens
.
.The video above is in two parts, the second part starts at 0:27
and shows how it works in VectorStylerin the video I use the Horizontal Scale field in the Transform panel
but I could record another one

@Subpath Got it. this occurs if highlighting in a field that did not have the focus.
I will try to find a solution for this.
