@VectorStyler I updated but since then VS always opens with the crash window. Should I uninstall and reinstall VS?

@Pat You can manually delete the crash files in x:\ProgramData\NumericPath\Crash Logs\

There can be still issues with the MSI updater. The current one should not create a new program in the settings, but it seems that in some cases it does not replace the whole VectorStyler.
If there are issues like wrong text in the UI (menu names, etc) then remove all existing VectorStyler installs and reinstall it.

@VectorStyler As an added bonus, my taskbar pin survived the upgrade. It's still orange, but it didn't create duplicate entries in Programs and Features this time.
