Object properties interchangeable between open documents

Is it possible to use Picker tool to pick object properties (E.g. style, color, effects etc.) between open documents? I tried, but no success.

Not possible with the picker tools. But it is possible to copy / paste appearance (or other properties) using the Edit -> Attributes commands.
