When copy paste a layer -- layer name is altered
-
When I copypaste a layer from one document to another, the layername is altered to something generic in end document.
Is there a "Paste remember layer" option in VS?Kind regards,
Raaskot

@Raaskot You can copy a layer and paste it to another document? How?
-
Like copy/paste between two open vs-docs. My quest is to maintain the layer names. Illustrator have two options. In VS It doesn't works very persistent:
-
From the screen recording it looks like you copied the group object you selected, not its layer.
(The layer of the selected object gets highlighted, but it's not the layer that gets copied). If you expand the 'Urologi' layer, the object you copied has the default '{Group}' name, isn't it?

Affirmative.
The layer structure is ignored. Only group object is handled.
-
When you need to copy all the objects of a layer, clicking the round button of
the layer will select all its objects. Is copy & paste of layers (not just objects) between documents needed?
-
Layers gives indeed sense to transfer in the process. Also VS performance and layer logic is very strange. Your suggestion works very unexpected. See the clip:

Yes, but in the 1.2 beta only.

It looks like you need to use 'Copy' from the Edit menu for this to work, otherwise
the app copies the name of the layer.@VectorStyler If possible, it would make sense to copy the layer's name only
when hovering the Layers panel — otherwise copy the objects themselves.

That makes sense. Though still missing the layer structure transfer things work more as expected when using menu-copy. Yet I acknowledge fully your suggestion to @VectorStyler.
