Customizing icons positive and negative versions
-
I'm messing around with custom icons with 'Symbol' role. I wonder if positive and negative versions should be made. Don't see that in the lists/manual. Is this automatically swapped or reversed if, for example, you go from default gray to default dark? Is there a requirement for the color definition? My first results remain positive. Sounds good but isn't

@Ayo The icons are to be designed for the default light theme.
Then the dark / gray themes automatically adjust the tones. But the icons may use RGB colors, in which case the tones are not adjusted.

I am unable to perform the color swap.
While working in the 'Default Light' theme.
- create rgb test icon #000000 black
- assign role 'Symbol'
- select symbol in customize icons
- is accepted/works
- change theme to default dark
- restart
- icon stays black
What am I doing wrong?

@Ayo said in Customizing icons positive and negative versions:
create rgb test icon #000000 black
The problem is that with the default document mode (RGB) all colors will be RGB.
To create vectors with gray colors:
- In the Document Setup -> Color, enable the Store Color Mode.
- In the color panel, select the Gray color mode.
- set colors with gray slider, or number field.

Doesn't work yet, don't get it

-
