Copy selection indication with selection box
-
When I copy items to use elsewhere in the file orin another file, I realized that I rarely use the command-c option with complex selections because I worry I might miss something in the complexity. I do use the command-c when I am copying a simple part that I can tell is copied properly easily and quickly when I paste.
The lock object has the "x" indicators in the corners which I really like . I wonder if something similar would be a good idea to indicate a copy was made for example

@Boldline The bounding box could "blink"?

@b77 yes perhaps that would work. Nothing too jarring visually of course.
I can't replicate it right now but in Affinity Designer the selection box has a subtle color change to the outline and corner selections that fades back to regular when a certain task is undertaken... I'll have to go find it again.
UPDATE: It wasn't to hard to replicate in Affinity Designer. I have some white objects on a white background so the effect can be fully seen. It worked in the early clicks but later in the video I was not able to see more of them. I'm not sure yet what it indicates, but it's an interesting visual cue

One could make the case that it would be good to have a visual indicator for grouping/ungrouping as well
