Unable to add a new color to an existing color palette
-
Is there a method or step I am missing in trying to add a new color as a spot color to my existing palette? I created a new color using the color panel and then wanted to add it to my existing custom palette. I tried dragging the color in, using the plus sign, etc... nothing seemed to work
thanks in advance

@Boldline Add the color to the Color Palette and choose 'Set Spot Mode' from the panel menu: https://recordit.co/eHi0TjBAZu
You can also do it from the Color Palette Bar like this: https://recordit.co/eB6ARE4vOb
@VectorStyler There might be a glitch here — the Tint slider doesn't show up until I deselect the swatch of the new color.

@Boldline I will try to find the issue here.

Added to the backlog.

@b77 thanks - those are good options. What purposes do the buttons in the palette panel do then? I think it's good to have options in the secondary menu as you showed, but people are naturally going to expect to be able to drag a color into a palette as well as you a plus symbol button to add them - even if they are added not as spot colors and that needs to be done as a second step
-
@Boldline The first two buttons at the bottom of the Color Palette are the 'Edit Color' and 'Add Color'.
I should have used that.

Trying it again today, the plus sign does add the new color to the palette as expected now, but dragging a color from the fill and stroke overlapping squares does not do anything
-
@b77 It was good you showed the alternative way to accomplish it.

Do you mean you need to create a color with no object selected?
Other than that situation, I see no need for adding a color by dragging and
dropping from the Color panel to the Color Palette panel.
-
@b77 I'm just saying it's standard operation in other vector editing programs to be able to create a color and from the overlapping squares, drag the color into the color palette to add it if it's not added automatically

@Boldline OK, good to know. Well, dragging a color to the Color Palette Bar to add it there would be nice, I agree.
