How to Stick Two Rectangles using Alignment Tools?

There are two rectangles:
I want to stick the green rectangle to the bottom side of the red one:
But if I click the "Align the Selected Objects Vertically to Equal Distances" button from the Alignment panel (the last button in the Align Positions section, the green rectangle will move to the top of the red one:

@gotanidea Selection order matters when aligning.
Shift+click select first the green and then the red rectangle. Then the alignment should be ok.

@VectorStyler I did that, but the green rectangle got moved to the top of the red one. Please see the "Wrong alignment" screenshot above.
The green rectangle should have been moved to the bottom of the red one (please see the "Intended alignment" screenshot above)

@gotanidea Do not set the key object, just leave with the first icon.

@VectorStyler If I did that, the red rectangle would snap to the green one. I need the green rectangle to snap to the red one.

@VectorStyler If I used the same method in Illustrator, by setting the key object (the red rectangle) and clicking its Vertical Distribute Space button, the green rectangle would snap to the key object. Could you please make it as simple as that?
