Vectorstyler made the list of top alternatives to Illustrator
-
Creativebloq released an article with an updated list of Illustrator alternatives and Vectorstyler finally made the list!
I kept mentioning VS to them last year and for whatever reason, it seems they finally took a look at it!

Cool.
Not that I begrudge anyone anything.
But I don't get those 5 stars for Affinity Designer.

I agree with you. they seem biased toward the cheaper cost and the fact that it can also be used on an ipad as more important than paying twice the price for VS and getting ten times the tools and features lol
The silver lining here for me is that VS is finally starting to crack mainstream conversations and will get notice and hopefully adoption by users

so, well done !

@Boldline Do you have any suggestion for Photoshop alternative?
I have been using GIMP and its roadmap looks great, but I believe it will take years before it reaches v3.2. I have been thinking to buy Affinity software, since it's currently on sale, but I wonder whether there is a better option to Affinity Photo or not

@Bones, mentioned some time ago "Photoline" as an alternative,
is in the 59,- Euro price range and very feature richalso made by one developer, a german guy
Here the website

@Subpath Thanks. Does it have non-destructive editing, multiple layer editing and action recording?

I'm primarily a vector designer, but I use Clip Studio Paint for most of my illustrative needs and I've been exploring Krita. In terms of photo editing, Affinity Photo seems to be main alternative option to Photoshop at the moment.
This is why I keep hoping that after VS gets to a great place in a few years, @VectorStyler will still have the passion and drive and income to focus on "Pixelstyler"
-
@Subpath If it's not popular, I'm afraid it will get discontinued at some point
-
@Boldline I also hope we'll see other products from VectorStyler's creator. Hopefully an alternative to Toon Boom Harmony and Adobe Animate

Well, no one can see into the future and nothing exists forever.
If you look at the Photoline website, version 23.5 is the current version
and version 10 is from 2003, so the program has been around for a while. At a price of 60,- Euro i wouldn't have big concerns as long as it had
the features I like ore need. By the way, I have a few graphics programs that are
no longer being developed, but still work well and I use them as long as possible. But it's your choice, so do what you feel comfortable with.

Perhaps we can find a way to clone @VectorStyler so he can work on all of these at the same time lol
